Students in Elon's Interactive Media master's program showed off the work they've done this semester in their capstone courses at the Interactive Media Exhibition May 19 on the second floor of Powell.

Sang Nam, an assistant professor in the School of Communications, delivered the keynote address at the Dream Tree Festival in Los Angeles May 8.

Faculty, students and alumni from the School of Communications were honored by the Broadcast Education Association's Festival of Media Arts in several awards categories at the annual conference from April 15-17 in Las Vegas.

World Wide Web inventor Tim Berners-Lee and Vint Cerf, widely known as a "father of the Internet" and Google's Chief Internet Evangelist, will be among the more than 60 speakers leading more than 20 different events at the three-day FutureWeb conference in Raleigh, N.C., April 28-30. The event is being organized by the Imagining the Internet Center of Elon's School of Communications, and will involve more than 40 Elon students, faculty and staff.

Communications assistant professors Phillip Motley and Sang Nam were selected as National CASTL (Carnegie Academy of Teaching and Learning) Teaching Scholars and will present their research at the 2010 National CASTL Institute at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., this summer.
