Many students keep little more than a photo album to share their stories from overseas college trips. Elon junior Ashley Dischinger, however, will soon have much more to show for her recent Winter Term program in South Africa – a chapter in a forthcoming guidebook on study abroad destinations.

Elon juniors Mykel L. Dodson and Sarah Vavreck have won national scholarships through the nonprofit Institute of International Education to help fund their upcoming study abroad programs.

A nonprofit group that helps residents of the Dominican Republic credited Elon University in its most recent newsletter for the help students provided during a Spring Break service trip.
