Students in Elena Kennedy’s “Entrepreneurship for the Greater Good” course had the opportunity to research, create and consult with local professionals at four community partner organizations during the spring semester.

Now in its second year, Campus Alamance will offer 35 Elon students eight-week paid internships with local businesses and nonprofit organizations this summer.

Campus Kitchen is an on-campus service opportunity through the Kernodle Center for Civic Life that involves preparing meals for local residents in need through Allied Churches of Alamance County. The program is made possible through long-standing partnerships with Elon Dining and the Center for Environmental Studies.

The Kernodle Center for Civic Life is looking for student leaders interested in making a positive impact in the community.

This two-year award will support multi-institutional work to better prepare students and institutions to develop and sustain community-based learning initiatives.

Hassol, award-winning climate change communicator, will speak at Elon University on April 19 at 7:30 pm in McKinnon Hall.
