Kernodle Center begins “Get on the Bus” fall program

The Kernodle Center for Service Learning launched a new program Friday to help students explore volunteer opportunities available to them in Alamance County and surrounding areas. The “Get on the Bus” kick-off in the Moseley Center featured a ribbon cutting by Elon University President Leo M. Lambert.

Washington Center recognizes Elon with civic engagement award

The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars selected Elon to be one of five recipients of its inaugural Higher Education Civic Engagement Award in June. President Leo M. Lambert will accept the award on Elon’s behalf at a Washington Center gala in October.

Seminar explores ideas behind “democratic thinking”
