Pam Kiser wins statewide service-learning honor

An Elon University faculty member was honored this week by the North Carolina Campus Compact for her dedication to the practice of service-learning in higher education. Pam Kiser, a professor of human services, received the 2009 Robert L. Sigmon Service-Learning Award at a Feb. 11 campus luncheon as part of an NCCC statewide conference.

Social entrepreneurship program recruiting for second class

And they hope to share their lessons with the next cohort of scholars selected from applications now being accepted.

Turns out that it doesn’t take that much time to prepare meals for 10,000 people in some of the most impoverished areas of the world. Ninety minutes, to be exact, when you have dozens of students, faculty and alumni teaming up on a warm fall morning as part of the Stop Hunger Now project.

New students PreSERVE in Burlington
