Brenna Ragghianti and Andrew Scott engaged lawyers, law scholars, intergovernmental officials and senior corporate leaders at the Atlanta International Arbitration Society (ATLAS) annual conference in April. 

Elon Law Professor Catherine Wasson has been elected to a second term on the Board of Directors of the Association of Legal Writing Directors (ALWD).  

For the fifth consecutive year, Elon Law students taught at public high schools through an innovative Street Law course offered in the spring semester. 

On April 17 the Elon Law Women’s Law Association celebrated students, faculty and legal professionals at the 5th Annual Women in the Profession Dinner. This year’s honoree for the “Outstanding Woman in the Profession” award was the Honorable Judge Teresa H. Vincent.

At Elon Law’s April Reception with the Legal Community, 43 students were recognized for significant pro bono and community service, including third-year law student Kaitlin Shimansky who was recognized for contributing the most pro bono hours while at Elon with 445 hours logged. 

The former U.S. Attorney General said, “it is not even the end of the beginning” with regard to United States engagement with “Islamism.” 

Published by the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy, the article by Elon Law Professor Michael Rich examines benefits and costs of government mandates that aim to make some criminal conduct impossible through the use of emerging technologies. 

A 2010 graduate of Elon Law, Anna Ksor Buonya testified at an April 11 Congressional hearing that examined Vietnamese government human rights violations.

The founder & CEO of Pace Communications will be honored April 10 with the Elon University Medal for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
