In recent months, Elon Law professor Henry Gabriel presented on the history and future of the Uniform Commercial Code at a symposium of the South Texas College of Law, delivered a lecture on the UNIDROIT Model Leasing Law in Beijing, China before the Chinese Banking Association at the request of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, and completed service as Chairman of the Editorial Committee of the 2010 Edition of the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts.

A two-day seminar organized by the faculty, staff and students of the Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic at Elon Law featured presentations by immigration law scholars and practitioners, law enforcement officials, and leaders of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service. Dozens of non-profit immigration service providers and attorneys specializing in immigration law attended the event.
