Faculty/Staff Campaign hits record 58 percent participation

The Faculty/Staff Campaign continues to gain momentum with a record 58 percent of employees making a gift to the university this year. Faculty and staff donors celebrated this achievement in McKinnon Hall on Wednesday, April 13. President Leo M. Lambert accepted a check for $290,464 from campaign co-chairs Jim Drummond and Rhonda Belton. Gifts have continued to come in and as of May 6, the total raised is $303,321.
Elon Law hosts judicial clerkship panel

Elon Law's Career Services office, along with the law school's Moot Court Board, sponsored a Post-Graduate Judicial Clerkship Panel at the law school on April 14. At the event, judges shared with students the qualities and expectations of their law clerks and what they like to see in clerkship applications. Current law clerks shared with the audience a typical day in their lives and important tips for preparing clerkship applications.

Women’s Law Association hosts annual Women in the Profession Dinner

Concluding Elon Law's year-long series of Receptions with the Legal Community on April 14, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Catherine Dunham expressed appreciation to 53 lawyers who mentor law students through the school's Preceptor Program. Eloise Hassell received the Preceptor Outstanding Service to Students award from the Student Bar Association.
