On April 12, Greg Taylor told Elon Law students about his incredible story, spending 17 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. The North Carolina Innocence Inquiry Commission recently found Taylor innocent after nearly two decades in prison for a first-degree murder conviction.
One hundred percent of Elon Law faculty contribute to law school scholarship fund for second consecutive year

Every member of the faculty at Elon University School of Law contributed to the Law School Faculty and Staff Campaign this year, and 80 percent of the staff at Elon Law contributed, helping to raise substantial funds for law student scholarships.
Coble shares views on health care and Congress with Elon Law students

United States Representative Howard Coble spoke to a group of Elon Law students on April 7, at an event sponsored by the Elon Law Republicans student organization. Among other issues, Coble addressed the health care bill recently passed through Congress and signed into law by President Obama.
Elon Law hosts Beta Epsilon Boule’s Second Annual African American Male Leadership Summit

On March 26, Elon University School of Law hosted the African-American Male Leadership Summit of the Beta Epsilon Boule. Held annually to support the educational and professional advancement of young African-American males and to provide positive role models and mentorship opportunities, the summit included more than forty students, Boule members, and members of the legal community this year.
Elon Law Class of 2009 achieves 92 percent bar passage rate

Following the results of the February 2010 North Carolina Bar Exam, the combined pass rate for all graduates from Elon University School of Law's charter class is 92 percent.

The Elon University School of Law Chapter of the Innocence Project® will host Greg Taylor and Christine Mumma, Esq. as its guests on Monday, April 12 at 7:00 pm in Room 207 of the law school. They will be sharing the story of Taylor’s wrongful conviction and exoneration.

Reception with the legal community – April 8

On Thursday, April 8, from 4 to 5 p.m., Elon University School of Law invites preceptors and other special guests from the legal community to socialize with Elon Law students, faculty, and administration, including as a special guest Judge of the Month, The Honorable Robert H. Edmunds, Jr., Associate Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court. The event will be held in the Cemala Commons on the second floor of the law school.
