Six Elon Law students initiated into William Hooper Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta

Elon Law's William Hooper chapter of the professional law fraternity Phi Alpha Delta initiated a third class of 6 members on February 23, bringing total membership in the chapter to 67. The chapter was founded in March of 2009.

The Patent Law Committee of the NC Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Law Section and Elon Law will co-host a roundtable presentation concerning "Strategies for Dealing with a Charge of Patent Infringement." Prior to the roundtable, the Committee will provide a primer on patent law for students interested in the practice area.

Elon Law's Distinguished Jurist in Residence James G. Exum, Jr., together with seven members of Elon Law's adjunct faculty and seven attorneys who serve in an advisory capacity at the law school were recently named among the Top 100 North Carolina Super Lawyers of 2010 by Super Lawyers magazine.
Black Law Students Association leads Elon Law’s Black History Month initiatives

During the month of February, Elon Law's Black Law Students Association (BLSA) celebrated Black History Month by sending out weekly emails to the law school community paying homage to African Americans who had a positive impact on the social, legal, and economic conditions of the lives of Americans today.
Elon Law and MBA students travel to China, Hong Kong and Vietnam in collaborative international business course

Nine Elon Law students and nine MBA students from Elon's Martha and Spencer Love School of Business participated in a first-time collaboration through an international business course that included meetings with top business and law leaders in China, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.
Admissions Open House at Elon Law – March 6

Elon University School of Law will host an Admissions Open House on Saturday, March 6, from 10 a.m. to noon. This event will give prospective students the opportunity to meet Elon law students, faculty, and staff; attend a mock law class; learn more about the unique characteristics of an Elon Law education; tour the facilities; and obtain information about our admissions process and financial aid. A light lunch will be served at noon.
