Catherine Wasson comes to Elon after working for the past decade at Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, Pa., most recently as an associate professor and director of the Legal Methods Program.

Davis steps down as dean Aug. 1, but Catanoso notes his continued role in shaping the school's curriculum and focus on leadership.
Jennings endow Elon Law professorship

A $500,000 gift from Maurice Jennings Sr. ’57 and his wife, Linda, and Maurice
“Burney” Jennings Jr. ’87 and his wife, Dina '87, will establish an endowed professorship at
the Elon University School of Law. The gift includes an estate gift from Burney
Jennings, an Elon trustee.

Howard Katz comes to Elon from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, where he was a visiting professor. His background includes teaching positions at a variety of law schools including George Washington, Pittsburgh, Howard, Tulane and George Mason.
New faculty member: Andrew J. Haile, assistant professor of law

Andrew Haile brings to Elon Law experience in transactional, tax and securities work as a partner with Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard in Greensboro, N.C. He served as an adjunct professor at the law school for the 2008 spring semester and, prior to joining his firm, clerked for the Honorable Frank W. Bullock, Jr., former Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.
