Elon senior wins top prize at Duke Undergraduate Research Symposium

Elon University senior economics major Kaylyn Swankoski was awarded the 2011 Allen Starling Johnson Jr. Outstanding Symposium Presentation Prize for the April 29 presentation of her senior thesis at the Duke Economics Department 9th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Mary Gowan, dean of the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, was a presenter at the 2011 Joint Triad HR Leadership, Diversity, and Inclusion Conference held at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Tuesday, May 17. The conference theme was "What's Next? HR & the New Frontier."

John Burbridge and Coleman Rich case accepted for publication

Rich, senior lecturer of operations and supply chain management, recently had their case on VF Corporation accepted for publication in the upcoming 14th edition of Strategic Management: Concepts and Cases to be published by Prentice Hall on December 31, 2011.

Doherty Center selected as entrant endorser for 2011 MassChallenge

Elon University's Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership has been selected as an entrant endorser for the 2011 MassChallenge because of its deep involvement in the global entrepreneurial ecosystem. MassChallenge is running the largest global startup competition to catalyze the launch and success of high-growth, high-impact new businesses. The $1 million competition will launch on March 7, 2011.
