Tina Das and Casey DiRienzo publish article on Diversity and Environment

Tina Das, professor of economics, and Casey DiRienzo, associate dean of the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business and associate professor of economics, have published an article, “Is Ethnic Diversity Good for the Environment? A cross country analysis,” in the Journal of Environment and Development, Vol. 19(1): 91-113.
Forty students inducted to ODE Economics Honorary Society

Forty students were inducted into Elon’s Pi chapter of Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) during the Spring Initiation Banquet, held April 6 in the Isabella Canon Room.
ODE is one of the world’s largest academic honor societies, with more than 640 chapters worldwide. Membership is open to high-achieving students studying economics.

Love School of Business assistant finance professor Neeraj Gupta was recently awarded the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Charter by the CFA Institute, after passing final level CFA exam in June 2009. The CFA Charter is the designation of excellence in the investment community for money management professionals, investors and academics.

Four Elon University students presented at an international conference in Iceland this month where Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and senior lecturer of entrepreneurship in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, served as a featured speaker and moderated the plenary session launching the 2010 MIT Global Startup Workshop.
