Elon student featured in African hospital report

Andrea Dorrow, an economics and business major and one of the inaugural Lumen Scholars, was featured in the annual report of the Beit CURE International Hospital in Malawi. As part of her Lumen Scholar research, Dorrow spent time in the southeast African country studying the role that minimal healthcare plays in determining the economic health of a developing nation.

The annual networking event is an opportunity for accounting and finance students and accounting firms to interact in a professional and social setting. The Meet and Greet is organized by members of Beta Alpha Psi, the international honorary organization for financial professionals. Representatives from 26 firms, including Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, Deloitte Touche, Ernst & Young, IBM Corporation, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, will be on hand to talk to students.
