A recent New York Times story on the economy cites undergraduate research conducted by an Elon student while she studied at the university earlier this decade.

Student Entrepreneurial Enterprise Development (SEED), one of Elon University's newest student organizations, held an inaugural interest meeting Feb. 24 with more than 70 students attending to share their interests in developing creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial skills. SEED is open to Elon students from all areas of study.

The winning Elon student team from Stanford’s Global Innovation Challenge and Elon entrepreneurship students visited Aldagen, Inc. in the Research Triangle Park on Feb. 26.

As an experiential prize for being selected as one of the top three student teams in the Elon Innovation Challenge, students Cory Dowd, Alex Trevisan and Keith Williams enjoyed an afternoon at the home of Dave and Suku Rendall on Feb. 27.

The Summer Business Institute provides rising juniors, seniors, and May graduates in non-business majors with the opportunity to enhance their marketability. The four-week program provides participants with broad knowledge of business principles and practices.
