Assistant Professors of Statistics Laura Taylor and Kirstie Doehler attended the 7th Annual UNCG Regioinal Mathematics and Statistics conference on Nov. 5 with students Ted Berkowitz and Kileigh Browning. Senior statistics major Ted Berkowitz presented a talk on “A Comparison of Methods to Compute Confidence Intervals for Proportions.”

Kathryn Huffman ’12 Selected as Outstanding Mathematics Education Student

Kathryn Huffman, a 2012 Middle Grades Education major with concentrations in Mathematics and Social Studies, was recognized as the Outstanding Mathematics Education Student for the Central Region of NC on Thursday, Oct. 27, at the annual conference of the NC Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
