National and International Fellowships

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study and teaching opportunities to recent graduates in more than 140 countries, with approximately 1,900 grants awarded annually in all fields of study.

These current students and alumni have been selected for the prestigious program that offers opportunities for recent graduates in more than 140 countries.

Faith Leslie '21, a political science and international and global studies double major, has been awarded a $30,000 Rotary Global Grant Scholarship to support her graduate studies in the fall.

The highly competitive award is designed to advance the academic pursuits of sophomores and juniors in colleges and universities who are pursuing research careers in natural sciences, mathematics and engineering.

Elon was recently recognized as a top producer of Fulbright students, and McKelvey is among the scores of Elon alumni who have taught English or conducted research abroad through the program.

Elon is featured on the annual list of U.S. doctoral institutions whose graduates were offered Fulbright student awards for 2020-21.

Professor Ann Cahill will serve as faculty director of the office, and follows Professor Janet Myers, who has headed Elon’s fellowships initiative for the past 16 years and served as the office’s founding director.

Garner is one of two recipients for the competitive, national award, and the first Elon University student to receive it.
