Räisänen, who will join the university on Aug. 1, will develop and implement university-wide well-being initiatives in alignment with the goals of Boldly Elon.

The board of trustees of the accrediting body informed President Connie Ledoux Book that the institution’s accreditation has been reaffirmed without recommendations or needed revisions.

Rebecca Kohn, provost and vice president for academic affairs, represented Elon university as a plenary speaker for CIEE’s 76th annual conference, Nov. 8 to 10, in Paris, France.

Adam Lalor, a well-renowned scholar on neurodiversity and vice president of neurodiversity research and innovation at Landmark College, spoke with Elon faculty and staff on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

For the week of Nov. 6 –11, the Center for Access and Success, First-Generation Student Support Services initiative will host its fifth annual celebration, honoring Elon students, faculty and staff who were the first in their family to attend college.

Elon continues to be the leader in the “Programs to Look For” feature as the only college or university in the country ranked in the top 20 in all eight categories of academic programs linked to student success and positive learning outcomes.

A national search will begin this fall for the next leader of Elon’s largest academic division.

Professor Crista Arangala from the Department of Mathematics & Statistics will oversee a new program designed to teach data competency through campus centers and academic programs that support student learning and faculty development. 

Faculty and staff gathered Monday to celebrate the beginning of the 2023-24 academic year.

Elon faculty and staff will participate in a full week of activities, gatherings and workshops as the university looks to begin the 2023-24 academic year.
