The distinguished Elon University faculty member with scholarly interests in diversity and representation in American media will lead efforts to further promote a welcoming environment for learning and teaching across campus.

"Ignite: A Decolonial Approach to Higher Education Through Space, Place and Culture," edited by Laura M. Pipe and Jennifer T. Stephens, was published by Vernon Press as part of its Series in Education.

Fourteen students from the graduating Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing cohort have achieved a 100% first-time pass rate on the NCLEX-RN exam, the national licensing exam for nurses.

Rebecca Kohn joined Elon in early January as provost and vice president for academic affairs, coming to the university from Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania.

Among many duties of the position, Overman will oversee research, pursue external grants and assist with the implementation of the Boldly Elon strategic plan

The senior vice provost at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania, brings more than 20 years of academic and administrative leadership to the position. 

Elon faculty and staff will participate in a full week of activities, gatherings and workshops as the university looks to begin the 2022-23 academic year.

Felten, assistant provost for teaching and learning and executive director of the Center for Engaged Learning, will spend the next academic year at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.

After three years at Elon, Volety returns to UNCW where he previously served as dean of arts & sciences.

Neiduski, who has served as dean of Elon's School of Health Sciences since 2017, will become the first female president of the college in Waverly, Iowa.
