Department of Performing Arts presents Ajax by Sophocles – April 14-17

Re-imagining a nearly 2,500-year-old play, the Department of Performing Arts' production of Ajax by Sophocles explores the great warrior’s PTSD-like struggles on the battlefield of a contemporary and familiar war-torn landscape. The show runs through Sunday afternoon in McCrary Theatre.
Lauren Kearns presents at “The ART of Public Memory Conference”

Lauren Kearns, Associate Professor of Dance and Head of the Dance Program, presented We Dance/We Remember: an autobiographical dance-making tool to invoke personal and public memory at "The ART of Public Memory" Conference held at UNC Greensboro April 8-10.
Kearns has been developing and refining this dance-making technique for the past several years and is currently working on documenting the process and writing a series of articles.

In its preview of the touring musical "Spring Awakening," the St. Petersburg Times featured a Q&A with Elon music theatre alumna Courtney Markowitz '10 in its March 17 edition. Markowitz was cast last spring as one of "Spring Awakening's" main characters, Ilse, in the show's second national tour.
