Researchers from the two universities have made advances in the field of soft robotics by bending artificial cilia into new shapes using a magnetic field, then returning the cilia to their original shape by exposing them to light.

Skylar Barthelmes ’20, Mike Borucki ’20 named CAA Institutional Scholar-Athletes

A native of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, Barthelmes is a member of the women's track and field team and has posted a 3.65 grade-point-average as an engineering major with a minor in computer science and mathematics. Borucki, from Marlton, New Jersey, is a catcher on the baseball team who is double majoring in physics and computer science, with a 3.47 GPA.
