A range of events during the month of November is organized by the Center for Race, Ethnicity & Diversity Education and its partners. 

All PHS alumni are invited to join PHS faculty in the Psychology/Human Service Studies/Public Health Studies Building for a wine and cheese reception

 

Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee, the author of "The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer," offered his insights to a crowd of nearly 600 gathered in McCrary Theatre on Sept. 20. 

Cindy Fair, chair of the Department of Public Health Studies, has co-authored three journal articles with recent graduates relating to the maturing cohort of adolescents and young adults with perinatally acquired HIV. 

Fifty-four Elon students presented the work they've undertaken during Summer Undergraduate Research Experiences, an eight-week deep dive into research.

Sarah Holdren '18 is participating in the Harvard University School of Public Health's Multidiscipinary International Research Training program in Ethiopia.

Nosipho Shangase '17, who graduated from the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa, has become an accomplished public health scholar at Elon and will pursue her doctorate in the field. 

The four graduating seniors participated in a signing ceremony in Clohan Theatre to formalize their participation in the service-learning program. The four fellows who have completed their year of service were also recognized.
