Aileen Kenney visits Elon University for an evening talk on Monday meant to engages the community in conversations about renewable energy. Her visit is sponsored by the Elon Core Curriculum, the Office of Sustainability and the Office of Residence Life.

Professor Mary Jo Festle's presentation, “American women’s sports: what’s gender got to do with it?”, prompted discussion at the Nov. 4 dinner.

Construction will begin in December on two projects at Elon University's Danieley Center residential neighborhood and on an addition for the Department of Music at the Arts West building.

Thousands of refugees each year face hurdles in rebuilding lives away from homes where they were persecuted, and on Monday evening in the Global Neighborhood, Elon University students learned more about issues confronting new arrivals to the United States.

The second annual "Birthday Party for West Residence Hall" on Oct. 16 brought together more than 100 current students and five alumni to celebrate the oldest building on Elon University's campus.

The second House Dinner of the semester brought together students, faculty and staff for an intellectual discussion.

President Leo M. Lambert and four Elon professors led dinner conversations on Oct. 6 with students from the university's Historic Neighborhood who wanted to share the lessons they learned from Fall Convocation.

The second film in this year's Global Neighborhood Film Series will screen on Tuesday, October 21, at 7 p.m. in the LaRose Digital Theatre. 

 

Honesty, integrity, responsibility and respect were emphasized in a Sept. 11, 2014, program for freshmen who heard from President Leo M. Lambert and other student leaders about the university's most cherished principles.
