Elon University’s annual Veterans Day Observance on Wednesday recognized former soldiers and sailors – as well as their families and friends – whose sacrifices have preserved the freedoms enjoyed by those who make the United States their home.

An annual campus program in the LaRose Digital Theatre will pay tribute to the men and women who served in uniform for the United States of America.

Men and women who have served in the U.S. military were thanked and recognized during Elon's annual Veterans Day event on Nov. 11.

Major General Sidney Shachnow will be speaking at Elon University to mark the conclusion of Holocaust Remembrance Day on Monday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m.

Veterans from different branches of the U.S. military stood together and were recognized during a Nov. 11 program that saluted their service.

Over the course of April 23 and 24, selected Elon Army ROTC cadets, Jack Blanchflower and David Smith, along with other cadets from the Aggie Battalion, based out of NC A&T State University, competed to earn the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (GAFPB).
