The associate professor of education and director of the Teaching Fellows program co-authored the article in the journal Teaching and Teacher Education.

The group presented at the N.C. Associationfor the Education of Young Children (NCaeyc) Annual Conference in Raleigh on Sept. 16, 2016.

Mary Knight-McKenna, associate professor of education, and Heidi Hollingsworth, assistant professor of education, co-authored an article on fostering family-teacher partnerships in early childhood education.

Supporters and participants in the Elon Academy celebrated the 10th anniversary of the college access and success program on Thursday, Sept. 15. 

Dyce will present "Collaboration, Collectivity, and Consciousness: Retaining Gradate Students of Color" on Sept. 19, noon - 1 p.m., at the Pleasants Family Assembly Room in Wilson Library on UNC's campus. 

The Labor Day program will be held Monday, Sept. 5, in Whitley Auditorium. 

The article appears in the "Journal of Staff Development" and the chapter is part of the book "Teaching for Democracy in an Age of Economic Disparity."

Elon's literacy initiative for young readers is expanding to serve parents with ESL courses at Alamance Community College.
