The annual program for first-year Elon students occurred in Alumni Gym Monday morning and offered the Class of 2025 insight into the four pillars of honor that are central to Elon University.

The event also served as the inauguration of the newly elected leadership of the Student Government Association.

Members of Elon's National Pan-Hellenic Council fraternities and sororities gathered for a rededication of the NPHC Garden located in the Loy Center Neighborhood.

Supported by funding from the Student Government Association, students will be able to have items from local retailers and grocery stores delivered to their on- and off-campus residences.

The annual effort kicked off in 2011 thanks in part to the work of an Elon alum serving with the armed forces in Afghanistan.

The new publishing venture by the two alums released its first book, “The Grocery Game” by Tori Murphy ’17 and Theodora Smiley Lacey, in May.

Raville’s “Gen-One” initiative aims to provide students, especially those who are the first in their families to attend college, with the professional clothing they need to feel confident on campus and beyond.
