Sociology and Anthropology

Carroll, assistant professor of anthropology, joined colleagues from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to present on collaborative public health/public safety research and evidence-based interventions to prevent opioid overdose. 

The article focused on banning methadone in occupied Crimea and was published in the journal Medical Anthropology. 

Mould, professor of anthropology, department chair and the J. Earl Danieley Professor, is one of eight Elon faculty members featured this year in "Passionately Curious," the annual Elon University President's Report. 

The assistant professor of sociology presented research on cross-national patterns in the justification of violence and "crimes of everyday life."

The paper by Idris, an assistant professor of anthropology, is part of an ongoing research project that aims to understand the resettlement experiences of refugees from Africa and Asia in North Carolina.
