Rena Zito, assistant professor of sociology, presented research at the annual meeting of the American Society of Criminology, Nov. 17-20, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Elon's Tom Arcaro, professor of sociology, draws from his research and recent book, "Aid Worker Voices," as he writes about the struggles that humanitarian aid workers are facing. 

 "Our Periclean Journey" dives deep into how the aid world works from partnerships to money and conflict resolution.

"Aid Worker Voices" by Tom Arcaro draws from survey responses from more than 1,000 aid workers stationed around the world. 

Two upcoming events to learn more about the latest developments related to the Syrian war and refugee crisis – one featuring the voices of leadership and the other featuring the voices of a Syrian refugee family in North Carolina.  

Elon President Leo M. Lambert bestowed the university's highest honor upon five retired faculty and staff members for their meritorious service to the university. 

Swimmer Kelsi Worrell, the daughter of Bob Worrell '89 and Erica Faison Worrell '90, and niece of Dann Worrell '90, was a member of the U.S. women's 4x100m medley relay team. 

The recent article in the American Journal of Play by Professor Thomas Henricks follows his 2015 book, "Play and the Human Condition."
