Associate Professor Vickie Moore is co-principal investigator on a five-year National Science Foundation grant of nearly $500,000 that supports training faculty in assessment of undergraduate learning in biochemistry and molecular biology, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and creating a community of practice.

The $290,000 NSF grant for Trachman and her fellow researchers will allow them to explore the potential location of marketplaces within cultural sites in northwestern Belize dating back to at least 100 B.C.

The funding will support Alamance Youth Connected, which is funded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Amy Overman, assistant dean of Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences, and professor in the Psychology Department and Neuroscience Program, has received two grants totaling more than $500,000 to support collaborative neuroscience research with partners at Penn State University and N.C. A&T State University.
