Members of the “Programming and Event Management” class in the Department of Sport and Event Management organized a “Car Show” event at the Holly Hill Mall in Burlington in November, raising $1,685 for the Walter B. Ellis American Legion Post 63.

Elon University senior Teri Horn has received the North Carolina Campus Compact’s fifth annual Community Impact Student Award for making significant, innovative contributions to her campus’ efforts to address local community needs. Sam Coury discovered a love for P.T. Barnum, the famous 19th century American showman, when she researched his life for a high school paper. Until last fall, the current Elon University sophomore figured an internship with The Barnum Museum in Connecticut was nothing more than “fantasy.” Then she visited Career Services.
