The communication design major is the School of Communications’ seventh LAGRANT scholar in the last four years.

The assistant professor of strategic communications is set to join industry professionals Ron Culp and Diana Martinelli on a Wednesday, July 29, panel to discuss PR curriculum in remote environments.

Kathleen Stansberry, assistant professor of strategic communications, commended the social media platform for removing QAnon accounts and “taking more of a leadership position in terms of moderating content.”

The rising senior is one of 20 college students in the nation selected for the Vance and Betty Lee Stickell Student Internship Program presented annually by the American Advertising Federation.

The Elon University graduate was presented with the Emma Bowen Foundation’s Outstanding Student of the Year Award, and will appear in the upcoming “Family of Us: A PBS American Portrait Story” series.

The rising senior and communication design major created a three-poster series highlighting sustainability and ways to reduce environmental impact for ICDE’s environmental graphic design contest.

Led by Communications Dean Rochelle Ford, the School of Communications held a June 11 screening of “Walking While Black” and a community discussion to connect law enforcement, Alamance County leaders and diverse communities through conversation.

Associate Professors Vanessa Bravo and Cara Lucia take over the top leadership positions of the Strategic Communications Department and Sport Management Department, respectively.

The associate professor of communication design will oversee the Master of Arts in Interactive Media program, succeeding its founding director, Professor David Copeland.
