Students are becoming ambassadors of healthy messaging by sharing videos with tips to keep themselves and their peers safe from COVID-19.

As a part of National Recovery Month, Campus Recreation and Wellness is highlighting the Collegiate Recovery Community, a program for Elon students seeking recovery support and opportunities to engage in a substance-free college experience.

School of Communications students Payton Byrnes ’21 and Julianne Quinn ’22 reflect on their experiences reporting virtually this summer for the Burlington Times-News.

The Elon alumna served as the guest speaker at a recent meeting of Elon University’s chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, discussing her time at Elon, her first job and how she is maintaining her mental health while reporting.

Fitness centers and other recreation spaces will open, with modifications including reduced space capacities, reservation requirements, face coverings and enhanced cleaning protocols.

The event organized by the Black Student Union provided members of the Elon community a chance to come together and advocate for change.

Students can learn how to connect with the more than 240 student organizations at Elon during the virtual event, which will be held on PhoenixConnect on Friday, Aug. 21, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The 2021 edition of "The Best 386 Colleges" guide also recognized Elon's career services, campus, performing arts productions and residential facilities.

The Elon graduate and former news director of “Elon Local News” was part of a three-person crew conducting interviews and gathering footage of arriving first-year and transfer students.

These four awards recognize members of the Elon community for excellence in teaching, scholarship, civic engagement and mentoring.
