Elon Law student commemorates anniversary of the Lebanese Cedar Revolution

Mitch Baroody, a member of the Class of 2014 at Elon Law, participated in a March 19 Washington, DC event to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the Lebanese Cedar Revolution. The event featured U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman and Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly.

Elon Law students earn team and individual honors in national moot court competitions

On January 24, members of the Moot Court Board at Elon Law built on a series of achievements in recent months, with Beth Klein and Chris McLain finishing in the top eight teams at the 35th annual J. Braxton Craven, Jr. Memorial Competition at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The competition drew 24 teams from law schools across the country.

Federalist Society hosts debate on judicial selection

The Elon Law chapter of The Federalist Society hosted a debate at the law school on January 11 between University of Kansas School of Law Professor Stephen Ware and Duke Law Professor Paul Carrington about the best way to select judges.

Elon Law students establish Pro Bono Board

Student groups host Action Panel on Marriage Equality

Student organizations at Elon Law hosted an Oct. 11 panel discussion on marriage equality prompted by the North Carolina General Assembly's recent decision to allow a same-sex marriage ban amendment to go before voters in the May 2012 elections.
