Cristiano Manzoni, an award-winning, internationally known accompanist and vocal coach, is teaching a course about the interpretation of Italian vocal music at Elon during Winter Term 2020.

Elon’s #1 ranked study abroad program has a robust set of policies, procedures and rapid response systems to protect and support students, faculty and staff during international study experiences.

This month Elon earned a #1 ranking for study abroad participation from the Institute for International Education for a 15th straight year.

Garner, an Honors Fellow majoring in international and global studies, will receive the award from The Forum on Education Abroad during a ceremony in March.

The baseball team will be heading to the Dominican Republic and the softball team will be in Japan during the holiday break as part of Elon's commitment to ensuring student-athletes can participate in a global experience as part of their Elon education.

David Wong, associate professor of educational psychology and educational technology at Michigan State University, served as guest speaker for the second Global Education Symposium.

Periclean Scholars from the Class of 2019 visited the country three times during three years and conducted extensive research to support an impactful project designed to economically empower local residents. As part of their work, they raised money to help provide residents with fishing equipment that was delivered this month. 

Elon’s affiliate partner, The Beijing Center, will be on campus on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

This year’s symposium will feature David Wong, associate professor in the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Special Education at Michigan State University. Wong’s area of interest and expertise include intercultural competence, global learning, and the impact of study abroad experiences.
