Faculty Fellow for Technology – Call for Applications and Announcement of Search Committee

On October 26, 2010, Steven House, Provost and VPAA, and Chris Fulkerson, AVP/CIO, jointly announced a new faculty fellow position to continue advancing the relationship between our faculty and the leadership of Instructional and Campus Technologies. The Faculty Fellow for Technology will liaison with faculty and technology staff in promoting and broadly communicating about new technologies at Elon.
Alan Russell publishes article in international SoTL journal

Alan Russell, associate professor of mathematics, published "A Model for Undergraduate Research in Statistics Education" in the July 2010 edition of the International Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
Elon students use Skype to connect with their peers in Iraq

Elon sociology and global studies students used Skype technology on Oct. 20 to hold a 90-minute conversation with students at Dijlah University College in Baghdad, Iraq. The session was the brainchild of Elon sociology professor Tom Arcaro and Ahmed Fadaam, a sculptor/journalist from Baghdad who has visited Elon in the past.
