Biology professors Antonio Izzo and Yuko Miyamoto, and Rick Palmer, academic technology consultant with teaching and learning technologies (TLT), presented their year-and-a-half-long collaboration at the 2011 Lilly Conference on College & University Teaching in Greensboro, N.C., on February 4-6.
New initiative: Diversity Infusion Program

The Multicultural Center and the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning are creating the new Diversity Infusion Project. Consistent with the University’s unprecedented commitment to diversity and global engagement, the Diversity Infusion Project’s purpose is to develop and implement strategies to infuse the curriculum and pedagogies of the University with best practices related to diversity, broadly defined.
Call for nominations: Daniels-Danieley Award for Teaching Excellence

The Daniels-Danieley Award for Excellence in Teaching was established for the purpose of giving recognition to outstanding teachers at Elon in honor of the parents of President Emeritus J. Earl Danieley and his wife, Verona Daniels Danieley. A certificate of recognition and a monetary award are presented each year to a faculty member whose teaching is characterized by excellence.
Nominations must be received by April 1.
