The Truitt Center for Religious & Spiritual Life will host a Diwali celebration on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the Numen Lumen Pavilion, McBride Gathering Space.

Thursday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. McBride Gathering Space, Numen Lumen Pavillion.

Interfaith panel discussion with staff and students from the Truitt Center

Nondenominational Christian Worship in the Sacred Space at 11 a.m.

Elon earns national recognition in all four categories of community engagement.

All are welcome to the Sacred Space of the Numen Lumen Pavilion to observe monks from the Kadampa Center as they create a sand mandala for Elon University.

Opening ceremony is Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. with viewing until 6 p.m.

Viewing hours on Sept. 22 are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Closing ceremony is Sept. 23 at 3 p.m. with viewing beginning at 9 a.m.

The 1944 Elon graduate made significant contributions toward the creation of the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life and the launch of The Elon Academy. 

The flag display included an effort to raise funds for the 9/11 Memorial at the site of the former World Trade Center twin towers.
