Cameron Mullins ’21, Hannaleigh Pierce ’21 and Mackenzie Martinez ’21 presented their research on student perceptions of drug and alcohol safety policies at Elon at the joint meeting of the American Anthropological Association and the Canadian Anthropology Society in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Garner, an Honors Fellow majoring in international and global studies, will receive the award from The Forum on Education Abroad during a ceremony in March.

Associate Professor of Mathematics Chad Awtrey and alumna Briana Brady ‘19, who earned her degree in mathematics, have published a paper in the most recent issue of the JP Journal of Algebra, Number Theory, and Applications.

Established in 2015, the price is intended to support students who undertake research in the community that has the potential to facilitate change.

The article by the associate professor of mathematics and mathematics major Ashley Pritchard ‘20 appeared in the International Journal of Algebra.

Garner spend two months during the past summer conducting field research that included interviewing more than 20 women about their memories of political violence. 

Wednesday's poster session offered nearly 40 Elon students the opportunity to share the progress they made on a range of research topics through the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience, one of Elon's signature program.
