The Workshop on Intercultural Skills Enhancement (WISE) Conference was held on Feb. 3 and 4 at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Hupfeld was recently named to the 2023 Forbes 30 Under 30 for Science due to her work using an MRI scanner to measure brain chemicals as an alternative to intensive brain biopsies.

Professor of Psychology Amy Overman accompanied undergraduate researchers in her neuroscience lab to the Psychonomic Society Conference in Boston, connecting them with recent Elon graduates and leading scientists in the field.

Means is currently an associate professor at University of Pittsburgh's School of Education and has a goal to build networks that focus on addressing racial, class, spatial inequities and injustices in education.

Associate Professor of Chemistry Justin Clar will work with undergraduate researchers to assist the Consumer Product Safety Commission in standardizing methods used to characterize the release of nanoparticle-based coatings from various coated surfaces.

Among many duties of the position, Overman will oversee research, pursue external grants and assist with the implementation of the Boldly Elon strategic plan

Gaines, a political science and policy studies major, along with her mentor Assistant Professor Dillan Bono-Lunn are working to dissecting the mechanics of policies through Intersectionality Policy Process Analysis to advocate for a more inclusive, identity-informed policymaking process.

The 2022 Elon graduate from Garner, N.C., will serve a two-year term on the Elon University Board of Trustees.

At the recent Forum on Education Abroad conference in Milan, Italy, Elon colleagues presented research on global engagement, mentoring, intercultural learning and inclusive excellence.
