A program at Elon's Numen Lumen Pavilion will bring together scholars to discuss the history and future of the relationship between the world’s Jewish and Christian communities.

Lee Bush, associate professor in the School of Communications, presented her paper “Creating Our Own Lineup:  Identities and Shared Cultural Norms of Surfing Women in a U.S. East Coast Community,” at the Fall 2013 Conference of the International Organization of Social Sciences and Behavioral Research.

The professorship supports research, travel and professional development.

The assistant professor of religious studies presented a paper titled "New Rituals for New Audiences: Sweetening the Goddess in Urban South India" and served as a delegate from the American Academy of Religion to the International Association for the History of Religion's Special Conference in Liverpool.

Assistant Professor of Religious Studies Amy L. Allocco recently published an article titled “From Survival to Respect: The Narrative Performances and Ritual Authority of a Female Hindu Healer," in the Journal of Feminist Studies in Religion.

Senior Lumen Scholar and Elon College Fellow Elizabeth Capel was selected to present at the Fourth Annual Undergraduate Art History Conference at Baker University.
