Research by Assistant Professor of Political Science and Policy Studies Liza Taylor into the democratic feminist politics of renowned feminist theorist Susan Okin has won the “Polity Prize” for the best research article in 2019.

Research by Taylor, assistant professor of political science and policy studies, into the coalitional strategies of U.S. women of color feminism has been selected for a limited-term open access critical conversation about race and progressive social change in New Political Science.

Amy Allocco has received a Collaborative International Research Grant from the American Academy of Religion to support joint fieldwork in India, a symposium, and a special journal issue with a colleague from the University of Helsinki.

The chapter is included in a volume that grew out of an April 2018 symposium at Colgate University honoring two of Allocco’s undergraduate mentors.

Allocco worked with Dr. Jennifer Ortegren (Middlebury College) to organize the full-day symposium, “Shifting Sites, Spaces and Selves: Analyzing Ethnographic Practices in South Asia Over Time,” which included 13 presenters and attracted a robust audience.
