The Student Mentors Advising Rising Talent (S.M.A.R.T.) signature CREDE program that is designed to ease the transition from high school to college, both academically and socially, for first-year students who self-identify as members of the ALANAM community – African-American/Black, Latino/Hispanic, Asian/Pacific Islander, Native American, Alaskan Native, and Multiracial.  First-year students learn from upper level classmates who are trained to provide guidance and support to make Elon University a more welcoming environment.
