Family Fall 2020 Pumpkin Carving & Decorating Contest

Submit a photo of your carved or decorated pumpkin to parentengagement@elon.edu by 8:00 AM on Monday, October 26 for a chance to win a prize!

Categories include a “President’s Pick,” with the winner chosen by Elon President Connie Ledoux Book!

To use:
1) Print out your stencil and scale it to fit the size of your pumpkin. When you select “print” you should see a “custom scale” option so you can print the design in a smaller size if needed.
2) Cut around the stem of the pumpkin to create a hole large enough for your hand to fit through. Scoop out the seeds and pulp until the inside of the pumpkin is clean and dry.
3) Tape the stencil to the front of your pumpkin. Use a poking tool to poke holes around the outline of the pattern. The black part of the stencil shows what you will eventually cut out.
4) Remove the stencil. Use a carving tool to follow the outline of the pattern.

Note: You do not have to use these stencils to be eligible to win a prize in the contest.
