Family Information Form
To ensure that we have all of your correct contact information, please fill out the Family Information Form. Submitting accurate information will ensure that you don’t miss any important news or announcements and that we can help provide the best Elon experience for your family. Email is our primary form of communication, so please be sure to provide your preferred email address for important updates, our informative e-newsletters and more.

Summer Welcome Events
Summer Welcome Events are an opportunity for incoming families to meet other new families from the same geographic area. Events for 2023 are currently being planned for July and August. Click here for more information regarding registration, dates and locations.  We look forward to seeing all of our incoming 2027 families at these informative events.

Move-in/Orientation
Move-in for new students will occur on Friday, August 18, with students being assigned a unique move-in time. Students will be able to check their unique move-in time on July 12 in their Acorn Account.

All new students (both first-years and transfers) are expected to participate in New Student Orientation which directly follows move-in and is scheduled Friday, August 18-Monday, August 21. Classes begin on Tuesday, August 22.

For parents, there will be an information session with Elon senior staff on Friday afternoon, and on Saturday morning there is a chance to meet with your student’s academic advisor, a coffee social with other Elon parents, and a Family Sendoff Picnic at lunch time.

Details on all of these events will be sent out from our New Student Programs office. Families can plan to leave campus after lunch on Saturday.

For a look at the full 2023-24 Academic Calendar, click here. We do encourage you to consult with your student about their class schedule and be aware of hotel/airline change policies when arranging travel in advance.

Family Weekend 2023
Make plans now to join us for Family Weekend 2023, which will be held Sept. 29-Oct. 1. This is a great opportunity to spend time with your student, meet their friends and families, visit with faculty and administrators, and experience Elon campus life.

More information, including a schedule of the weekend’s activities, will be available on the Family Weekend web site this summer.
