MicroFridge Rental
In order to help make your transition to campus more comfortable, we offer a number of services.
Renting a MicroFridge
MicroFridge – Through Elon University’s partnership with Standards For Living, Elon students may rent or purchase a microwave-refrigerator-freezer all-in-one combination appliance unit, and have it waiting in your room before you move onto campus. These uniquely designed units are the only microwaves allowed in the residence halls (except in kitchenette space in the Danieley Center). Please be sure to check with your roommate to avoid double orders!
If students have any issues with their rental unit throughout the year, they may contact Standards For Living, 800-525-7307 or standardsforliving.com. Repairs for normal issues are included in the rental price.
Delivery Dates:
- All orders processed on or before the posted deadline will be delivered to the rooms prior to New Student Move-In Day (early arrival students may not receive theirs before their specific move-in day; early arrivals MicroFridges will be delivered outside the room door on the three days prior to new student move-in and early arrival students are asked to bring their own MicroFridge unit into their room at that time).
- Orders received after the deadline will be delivered after classes begin.
- Orders are taken throughout the year and will be delivered on an individually coordinated basis.
Refunds will not be issued for cancelled orders two weeks after classes begin. No refunds will be issued for study abroad participants or withdrawals. Elon University’s Residence Life does not mediate any conflict that may arise between roommates in regards to this unit.
