If you are an incoming first-year or transfer student, you probably have questions about what to pack, room configurations, how to sign up for classes and other information, just to name a few. Later in the summer, when housing assignments post, this site will be updated with responses to some of the most frequently asked questions we hear from students getting ready to come to Elon.

For now, questions we often get about the housing application process include:

If a student is under the age of 18 when they submit the housing application, the application will NOT be considered “complete” until their listed Parent/Guardian has also signed off on the application/contract.

To complete this Parental Verification, complete the following steps:

  1. Student will update their Parent/Guardian contact information, including email address, on the housing application.
  2. After the application is submitted, the listed Parent/Guardian email address will receive an email with a link to the underage application and a code they’ll need to enter.
    1. Example Email:

STUDENT NAME has submitted the housing application – Housing Application. Since the student is underage, your signature is required to complete the application.

Please click on this link

…and sign your name after entering this code: (CODE)

    1. Please contact Residence Life via email or phone if the listed Parent/Guardian did not receive this email and needs to have it resent.
  1. The Parent/Guardian will go to the site link, enter the verification code, click submit, review the contract file, sign their name, and click “Verify Application”.

Once those steps are completed, the underage application will be considered complete.
