INTEGRATE (Level Three)

INTEGRATE yourself into the community!

In this phase, students understand the root causes of community challenges and consider systemic solutions. You can develop a commitment to working with communities in a reciprocal manner to advance the common good. In the process, you will develop the necessary skills to be active citizens and informed leaders who contribute to community change and to our democracy. You can extend knowledge from your academic discipline to help achieve a broader civic aim.

Get Integrated!

• Participate in the Periclean Scholars program
• Serve as an Elon Volunteers! student leader through the Kernodle Center for Civic Life
• Take part in the Peace Corps Prep program
• Apply to be a Leaders in Collaborative Service (LINCS) Coordinator at a nonprofit organizations through the Kernodle Center for Civic Life
• Complete the Poverty and Social Justice minor 
• Major in Human Service Studies
• Serve as an America Reads Tutor at a local school through the Kernodle Center for Civic Life
• Participate in the Multifaith Scholars program 
• Participate in an Undergraduate Research Program community-based undergraduate research project
