Print out your resume and list of references on high-quality resume paper and place the materials in a professional portfolio.

Interview attire should be professional, but also clothing in which you feel comfortable.

Remember that your interview begins as soon as you arrive at the organization.  You never know who might be observing you, so treat all people you meet that day in a kind and courteous manner.

First impressions matter. Make sure to smile, confidently shake the interviewer’s hand and show them that you are excited to be there.

Body language helps to convey enthusiasm, interest, and professionalism during an interview. Throughout the interview, maintain good eye contact, keep an open body position and demonstrate good posture.

Answer the questions fully. When possible, use specific examples to demonstrate skills and avoid “yes” or “no” answers.

Show them you have done your research by incorporating knowledge of the organization and position into your responses.
