Student Organization Handbook
Student Involvement is excited about your interest and involvement in student organizations at Elon. We recognize that your involvement in student organizations provides valuable experience during your time on campus. Being actively engaged and leading a student organization enriches your academic and professional endeavors, builds your ethical and moral development, celebrates and supports learning about cultural and spiritual traditions, encourages civic engagement, and provides you with opportunities to build lifelong relationships. We want to support you in leading your organization and provide you with opportunities to engage in collaboration while gaining meaningful leadership skills.
The goal of this handbook is to complement the Elon Student Handbook and provide you and your organization with the tools and resources necessary to navigate your way through university policies (designated with *) and organization related policies (designated with **) and to maximize your success as a group on campus. Use this handbook as you lead your organization, register and host events, and have a vibrant presence on campus.
At times we may miss updating the policies from the Student Handbook. If there are any discrepancies, the policies listed in the Student Handbook are the official university policies.
Thank you for choosing to be an active member of the Elon campus community through your involvement in a student organization. We cannot wait to see all that you are able to do! Remember we are here to help and encourage you to contact us at any time for assistance with your organization.
