Alert Box
The Alert Box Advanced Element allows you to create a styled box that is intended to draw special attention to important content. It can be used to create an info, warning, alert, or success messages. Each box type has a unique color that is shown in the examples below.
While there is no character limit, these elements should contain a minimal amount of content, typically between one to three sentences, and not multiple paragraphs. They should also be used sparingly so ensure the visitor realizes the important nature of the content within the box.
Types of Alert Boxes
This is an info alert box. It should be used to convey general, but important, information.
This is a success info box. It should be used to convey a “successful” message, or some other type of positive confirmation.
This is a warning alert box. It should be used to convey a “warning” message, such as an “upcoming deadline” or similar content.
This is an error alert box. It should be used to convey a “negative” message, such as a “deadline past” or similar content.
Adding an Alert Box
Place your cursor on an empty line in the Rich Text Editor body.
Click the Add Element button located above the Rich Text Editor buttons.
Click the Alert Box icon in the Advanced Elements selection tool.
Select the Alert Box Type (info, success, warning, error) you want to display.
Enter the content you want to display in the editor. Limited options are available in the Alert Box editor, such as bold, italics, underline, and hyperlink.
Once you are done adding content to the Alert Box editor, click the green Update Element button.
After updating the element, you’ll see a placeholder where the Alert Box will be displayed to the site visitor.
Editing an Existing Alert Box
To edit an existing Alert Box, simply double click on the placeholder for the box you want to edit. The Alert Box element editor will display, and update the content and settings as necessary. When you’re finished editing, click the green Update Element button to save your changes.
